Tobi Eileen Monaghan (19 June, 1968 - 23 December, 2021) It is with deep and immense sadness that we announce the peaceful and much too soon passing of Tobi Eileen Monaghan, beloved partner of Jeff McDonald and loving mother to son Ruairi. Predeceased by her father Martin, she will be deeply missed by her mother Sandy, her siblings Elizabeth (Iain), Troy, Kirsten, Marta (Ross) and many nieces and nephews.
Lovely, strong ,incredibly funny, loyal, fierce, Tobi possessed a beautiful mind and loved a spirited debate, a skill she learned from her father .She was generous beyond compare and beamed with enthusiasm when preparing to open her beautiful home to friends during her annual Christmas party and legendary hockey and football parties.
An accomplished cook and avid reader, she loved summers at the family cottage in Norway Bay, trips down south to explore new locales and cuisine and spending time with friends and family.
Tobi loved her neighbours and made them an integral part of her life. She remembered birthdays of everyone(especially the kids), offered support and love, was the life of the party and always had a cheerful greeting while out on the street walking her beloved dogs. The twinkle in her eye was always present.
A very special thank you to friends Cara, Rob, Kerry and Wendy for their crucial support and love over the past several months. Also a special thanks to niece Kate for her help and to nurse Benjamin for his care during Tobi's illness. And to all of her neighbours, friends and colleagues who have expressed their love and support...Thank you!
We believe Tobi has joined loved ones and is now busy getting things organized. If it's Saturday night she'll be preparing Martin's hamburger!
Until we are together again Bubby...we love you and miss you so much!
In Memoriam donations directed to 'Harvest House Ministries' would be greatly appreciated by the family.
